Robert F. Kennedy in his continuing campaign to undermine American safety and health has eliminated funding for the American Academy of Pediatrics. That’s money that goes to help deal with childhood diseases and childhood maladies. Kennedy’s flack made up the rationale for this action.
The real reason, of course, is the American Academy of Pediatricians has criticized Kennedy for some of his dangerous assertions suing him for arbitrarily removing COVID-19 from the CDC recommended vaccines. Suggesting, as Kennedy does, that pediatricians are some woke left-winger. It’s just, it would be funny if it weren’t so absurd. This is something I know more than a little bit about.
My dad was a pediatrician and my three children and grandchildren have been superbly cared for by pediatricians. Doctors don’t go into pediatrics for the money. It’s one of the lowest compensated medical professions. There are, I’m sure, a few bad pediatricians. There’s bad apples in every profession. But the vast majority are pediatricians because they care about children and protecting children, where Secretary Kennedy is so often abdicating.
He already has--just like the Dictator Dimwit Deranged Psycho in the Oval Office and his party, the republiCRAPS. We all know that the Dictator is ignorant, so he's chosen all the ignorant people he can find to not only be head of the Health Department (which is an oxymoron now), but actually all the rest of HIS government (cabinet members and department heads) positions.
I whole heartedly agree. But the question is what to do. Waiting for Trump to implode. Or congress to flip, is probably costing lives.
