Dems need to work from ground up to win back the midwestern Democrats. It’s not going to work coming from Democrats in New York , San Francisco and Chicago. We need more Democrats willing to move to the center not to the left. It’s 2025 not 2020. Take a page from Republican David Brooks who states just that. The way we will win is to go out into the trenches that we lost by not paying attention to the blue color/ farm community. They aren’t worrying about woke . They are wondering where the Trump promises hv gone. The youth vote
is unstable as are the votes from the disappointed citizens of color.
Our party needs to find new demographics where we can grow
because we care.
I’m looking forward to new Democratic leadership that will also work to organize… not just continue speechifying homilies.
I always believed, more so now than before, that no Republican is completely conservative and no Democrat is completely liberal. I have been a Democrat since I was 18, but at this last presidential election, I voted as an Independent.
Your comment is a little confusing. Harry Teid is dead. He was a senator from Nevada and died December 2021. The guy Carville is talking about worked for senator Reid at one time.
I agree whole heartedly but I doubt that this ridiculous self centered tactic will gain any steam. His aspiration is to raise $10m. for the purpose of tearing the Democratic Party apart; let’s see if he can even raise that, which is small potatoes in this era. Much more interesting is the unity across the board of the Congressional Democrats demand for re appropriating the $1 Tillion cut in American’s health or no more money at all. This unity is unprecedented on a government shutdown if it holds for weeks in end. We shall see if it impacts the Republican’s popularity or the Democrat’s popularity. The public has the tie breaker, as to who EIN’s and who loses a shutdown.
Harry Reid is attacking the wrong side, like a football player that caught the ball and ran the wrong way to give the opposing team the touchdown.
