Our recent Politics War Room with James Carville and Albert Hunt, our guest and Nazi scholar Benjamin Hett reminded us that in 1933 Hitler successfully seized power in part because the democratic opposition, downplaying the existential threat, splintered. Whether you think it’s analogous or not, America faces an existential threat today.
That’s why it’s so disappointing that a smart guy like Adam Jentleson former top aide to Harry Reid, would launch a $10 million campaign to take on not Trump, but left-wing woke Democrats. I actually agree with some of his critiques, but that should be for a later time after the 2026 midterms and leading up the next presidential election. If Trump wins the midterms, you ain’t seen nothing yet.
Jentleson and his colleagues at the Searchlight Institute should focus their talent and resources on making sure that doesn’t happen instead of what they’re doing, which is a gift to Donald Trump.

Harry Reid is attacking the wrong side, like a football player that caught the ball and ran the wrong way to give the opposing team the touchdown.
I agree whole heartedly but I doubt that this ridiculous self centered tactic will gain any steam. His aspiration is to raise $10m. for the purpose of tearing the Democratic Party apart; let’s see if he can even raise that, which is small potatoes in this era. Much more interesting is the unity across the board of the Congressional Democrats demand for re appropriating the $1 Tillion cut in American’s health or no more money at all. This unity is unprecedented on a government shutdown if it holds for weeks in end. We shall see if it impacts the Republican’s popularity or the Democrat’s popularity. The public has the tie breaker, as to who EIN’s and who loses a shutdown.
