Given that he went on record as saying Trump was "the worst of us", he must have put aside information in what he thought were safe places that would neutralize any threat from Trump. However, it is conceivable his deterioration may lead to crimes far beyond those so far committed and more desperate economic straits in which case many millions more will begin demanding his removal...by the end of the year. IF that escalation occurs, the impeachment equation, particularly in the Senate, may change to make it viable.
I agree 100%, although I wish what you said wasn’t so spot on. Trump won’t last until 2029. He’s on hells doorstep. The Democrats if they are smart, need to focus on voter turnout, stick with affordability, no healthcare for people who can’t afford it, the economy, the war that was thought out by a bunch of baboons, the complete reversals ( lies) Trump told his supporters about wars, lowering prices, not touching Medicare or Medicaid, and to tell the people, if we get in , we will put in guardrails, term limits on everyone including the Supreme Court, and take big , corrupt, dark money out of the equation. Tax billionaires appropriately to pay down the deficit so that our kids and grandkids will have some sort of future. This isn’t rocket science. It’s about doing what is right for the people who elected you to office to do what you swore to do by the constitution. Get out there and talk to your constituents and stop taking 3/4 of the year off and do your jobs. Pretty simple stuff that you can do if you want to do the right thing. My 2 cents.
Getting an Impeachment conviction from the senate would be extremely difficult even after midterm elections, failure to convict Donald Trump again would be a huge mistake.
What if Iran sinks a ship or kills a lot of Marines or Airborne soldiers because of Trump's ineptitude? How would that change your thoughts? Can America really withstand Trump through 2029?
This is the question that must be put to every Republican in Congress. By calls, letters, emails, social media posts, picket signs outside their offices and homes. You can add in what about the appalling debt they have loaded on the nation, which will cripple America's ability to recover from Trump's criminality and mismanagement...

There is a lot of chatter, probably driven by Russian/Republican troll farms, about how "ineffective" Democrats are, in spite of the obvious fact they do not hold the balance of power in any of the three branches of government. This makes doing the one thing they can do, impeachment, an attractive prospect.
Impeachment is also the moral thing to do. In any other timeline this administration would already be in the bin.

Huh? Please explain how the House would pass articles of impeachment when it’s controlled by Republicans. The Dems wouldn’t even be able to get such a motion to the House floor for debate let alone pass it. And even then, the Senate would never convict.
