-- There were no two more dissimilar people than my late grandmother, a sweet Virginian who, as a single mother, ran a flower shop to support her two kids, and Joseph Goebbels, the evil Nazi propagandist.
If I didn't believe that most of these atrocities were reversable and that some of the culprits were going to be held accountable, I would consider moving away from this soon-to-be Fourth Reich.
The utter mendacity, hypocrisy, and contradiction at the heart of Trumpism lies in January 6th. An American president, often citing his ‘law and order’ creds, incited a riot in order to illegally and unconstitutionally remain in office after losing a legitimate election. Then, when he got re-elected by that vast sea of Americans he had so cleverly conned into believing he actually gave a damn about their perceived problems, he pardoned the rioters.
Now, of course he’s back to 'law and order', (in Blue state cities only - Memphis was an attempt to suggest otherwise, but we know it was a put-up job) belying the fact that he is all in favor of political violence so long as it is committed on his behalf.
