Trump 2.0 was supposed to avoid the infighting that marked his first Administration as the loyalty of the President's appointees is almost exclusively to him.
That game plan vanished when the New York Times reported about a White House meeting last week featuring bitter exchanges between Elon Musk and several cabinet members, accusing one another of lying. Trump brokered a temporary peace. It won't last. Musk is as arrogant and politically insensitive as he is brilliant and rich. Trump may not be willing to slap him down with all his resources.
These won't be the only battles, rifts are surfacing or clearly will be in diplomacy, defense, and probably economic and health personnel and programs.
Trump is more about ego and capricious whims than ideas or policies. He's always transactional so loyalists must be adaptable, easier for some than others.
