Time for more Anti-Trump Republicans to Stand Up

Let's put the political shoe on the other foot, asking what Democrats would do if their presidential nominee were corrupt, dismissive of the rule of law and put self ahead of country.
In this more than far-fetched hypothetical, New Jersey Sen. Robert Menendez, indicted for bribery and obstruction of justice after getting the nomination, is running against Nikki Haley. Fearing Supreme Court appointments, tax or abortion policies, some Democrats might hold their nose and vote D, or cast a write-in protest.
Those Democrats with a conscience and appreciation of the centrality of character and at least a modicum of integrity in the White House would vote for the Republican and try to repair policy mistakes later.
That's what a small band of Republicans are doing now, standing up against the dangers of an aging and ruthless authoritarian and voting for a Democrat with whom they may have major policy disagreements. These GOP Harris supporters include:
Too many others who know better are hiding, prominent Republicans and military leaders who privately see Trump as an existential threat. They have three weeks to rise to the occasion.
