A DISTRESSING CAMPAIGN

THE TRUMP GARBAGE

This, the 14th Presidential election I've covered, is the  most depressing.

Yes, I'm worried about the outcome, though I think Kamala Harris is more likely to win narrowly. Four days out I would rather have her hand.
This campaign started with a bitterly divided America; as it closes it's only gotten worse and will be even more so after next Tuesday.
Some of this fault lies with the Democrats, especially the aging President Biden's refusal to bow out a year ago, which would have generated a high-level and likely productive Democratic contest.
But it's really about the venom that an embittered, revenge-seeking, and often unhinged Trump has brought to the national election, a poison that won't go away whatever the result.
