House Republicans should pay a price this November for a simple reason that transcends ideology or partisanship: gross incompetence.

The majority party has been a clown show for the past 20 months. It took them 15 ballots to elect a Speaker and then nine months later, dumped him.  Several others failed to take his place and finally settled on a back bencher who is in over his head.
Forget separation of powers, Donald Trump hovers over every move. The Don's enforcer is Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan who loves to play a tough guy.
Jordan's charge, the investigations and impeachments of Biden and others, was a fiasco.  The Republicans produced lots of smears, innuendos, and discredited charges from crooks associated with foreign adversaries. One thing they didn't produce: any evidence of wrongdoing by Joe Biden.

Gerry Connally, an eight term House Democrat says he has never seen anything like this "catastrophic failure.  All they did was produce cranks and misfits and never had a single breakthrough."  Connolly is a member of both the House Oversight Committee and the newly former Weaponization subcommittee designed to root out the bias and corruption of the deep state.
